Welcome to Guardian Public Adjusting, LLC. where we are committed to working with you, and on your behalf, throughout the entire insurance claim process. Everyone wants to believe that insurance companies will act fairly and honestly when a claim is filed. However, the unfortunate truth is this is not always the case. That’s where Guardian Public Adjusting comes in.
What is a Public Adjuster?
At Guardian Public Adjusting, LLC, as a public adjuster we are your advocate. Public adjusters are licensed insurance professionals that advocate for you and your interests. Our goal is to maximize the insurance benefits that are due to you after you experience damages or a loss to your property.
Insurance benefits are often underpaid to policyholders. By providing you with skilled and expert representation, we will handle the entire claims process for you, eliminating the stress and aggravation, and allowing you to continue with your normal life. We take care of everything from site visits to appraisals, engineer meetings, reinspections, negotiations and all the way through to the actual settlement.
What does a Public Adjuster Do?
The ultimate goal of a public adjuster is to ensure that you attain the best possible outcome from your insurance company. There are a number of duties that the public adjuster performs including:
Assess the policy: The insurance policy is evaluated to the determine what compensation is pertinent to the policy. A normal Homeowner policy can be in excess of 60 pages and will include coverage limits, endorsements, exclusions, and limitations that may affect the value of your claim.
Inspection: The public adjuster visits the property to determine the damage. This includes taking pictures and documenting all relevant information, and producing an itemized estimate for repairs.
File the claim: All the forms including the damage estimate, Proof of loss, and any other required forms are sent to the insurance company.
Negotiate the claim: Often the insurance company will send out an adjuster. The public adjuster will meet with them at the property. If there is a discrepancy, the public adjuster negotiates with the insurance company. This can range from a few days to a few months.
Settlement: After an agreement is negotiated, the insurance company usually issues a check within days.
Why do I need a Public Adjuster?
Natural disasters and accidents are an inevitable part of life. Whether you own a home or commercial building you likely carry insurance on the structure. So, when your home or business is impacted by a natural disaster, storm, or any other covered peril, an important step you will take in recovering from the damage is to file a claim with the insurance company.
The entire claim process and getting the repairs completed can be stressful, frustrating, and take valuable time. Add to that, there is the potential that you may think the cost estimate the insurance adjuster proposes is too low. But you may not know how to dispute it. On the other hand, you may not even realize that something has been missed. In other cases, your claim may be denied.
At Guardian Public Adjusting, LLC. we work for you not the insurance company. We look forward to being your advocate. Give us a call at 850-556-6847.
